LAMDA Drama
LAMDA examinations in Acting use the preparation and performance of dramatic scenes to support the development of self-confidence, communication and performance skills. By portraying other characters, learners can explore a range of different personalities and emotions. Exploring different characters and situations allows learners to get to the heart of how feelings and emotions dictate behaviour, encouraging them to become more self-aware.
As with all LAMDA examinations, the development of a clear speaking voice and good body language are an integral and positive product of the exams.
Learners who prepare themselves appropriately will develop:
-
Interpretative skills
-
Technical skills
-
Knowledge of the performance process.
Other benefits include reading fluency, a broader vocabulary, enhanced memory and recall, as well as improved English language skills. Preparing for a LAMDA Exam helps everyone develop the life skills that are so important for a happy, successful and fulfilled life.
